ADVANCED EV CHARGING


Task Contract Solutions Ltd successfully delivered an advanced electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at Altcar Training Camp HQ, supporting the Ministry of Defence’s ongoing commitment to decarbonisation. This project represents a significant step toward sustainable operations by leveraging renewable energy to power EVs and reduce the camp’s carbon footprint.

PROJECT SCOPE


  • Installation of EV Charging Infrastructure:
    Installed 4no 22kW EV chargers designed to simultaneously support up to 12 electric and hybrid vehicles, ensuring reliable and efficient charging.

    Chargers were strategically positioned for ease of access and to optimise the camp’s vehicle charging operations.

  • Integration with Renewable Energy Sources:

    The charging system was designed to utilise solar energy generated by the camp’s existing photovoltaic (PV) system during daylight hours, maximising renewable energy use and reducing reliance on grid power.

    This integration ensures sustainable operations by aligning energy consumption with renewable generation.
