Planned Maintenance and Servicing of MOD Assets

NorthWest Reserve Forces and Cadet Association

The NWRFCA manages and co-ordinates the estate and property management function for more than 350 building and major training facilities across NW England on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). The estates portfolio under their management, includes the Liverpool HQ, Drill Halls, Residential Training Facilities, a Firing Range and domestic dwellings. The Association is required to comply with the government’s environmental and sustainability obligations to reduce carbon emissions and produce financial saving from reduced energy consumption and install fuel efficient power, lighting and heating systems.

As such, the Property Committee of the Association are required to refurbish and modernise their estate buildings to meet these UK and EU energy and emission targets for 2014 and beyond. Task Contract Solutions Ltd was appointed by the Association as the contractor required to undertake small building works, gas and electric installations and minor adaptations to the homes of veterans.

The Company undertook a major project to support the North West Reserve Forces and Cadets Association with reactive and planned maintenance, electrical and gas services, LED lighting, small works including adaptations to residential dwellings to accommodate disabled individuals.

This programme of works on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) involved an extensive range of building. specialist/engineering works and the installation of low energy lighting solutions to Drill Halls and accommodation facilities across the region.
